Inside Out Sally Bag - SOLD
Inside Out Sally Bag - SOLD picture

This unique basket came to Pat Courtney Gold in a dream. It has images inside as well as outside the basket. This Wasco Sally Bag is made using the full-turn twine technique to make geometric figures and motifs. The Wasco people lived along the Columbia River for more than 11,00 years.
Petroglyph faces grace the outside of the basket while a step design flows around the inside. The step design is a stylized view of the underwater "ladder" that the salmon travel upstream, and the "star" is the flashlight that Pat Courtney Gold and her brother used to communicate while fishing at Sherrar's Bridge.
SOLD cotton yarn, mixed polyester yarn, beads, buttons. 4.75" tall, 4.75" diameter.
